What is communication? How will life be without it?

We all think that communication is just about communicating with someone in any way that we use through with speaking, with signs, with symbols, with mobile devices, and with other gadgets. We all think sometimes that communication is just about sharing your ideas and information to others.

But what is communication?

Communication (from Latin: "communis" means to share) is an activity of conveying information through the exchange of thoughts, messages or information, as by speech, visuals, signals, writings, and behavior. It is the meaningful exchange of information between two or a group of person. To narrow it down, it is what we really think about it.

What is it to experts and well-known people?

" Communication is a process of transmitting or receiving signals or message." by Dr. J.P Chaplin
" In short, communication is simply means receiving and sending messages." by Dr. Dianne Hoffman

That is their view of communication and what does it mean. So to say that we communicate everyday. We interact with people and make business sometimes. Communication is a part of our daily lives since we are born. A baby cries when he or she is hungry, that is a way of communication. A car honks when needed, that is communication as well. Even signs and lights gives signals and we automatically know what it meant, that is also called communication. There are many ways on how we can communicate. The world of communication is that fascinating.

If its that important and fascinating, how will life be without it?

I can't imagine how will life be without communication. It's like a life without light, because it is a part of our lives. We communicate and interact everyday, it will be chaos if we don't have communication. I'm not talking about texting or chatting or even blogging, I mean in a broader sense. Without it, I can't imagine what would life be. For me it's a total wreck. Let's go back to history, almost at the beginning. Before, people spake of one language, but they wanted to go up to the heavens by making a tall tower. When God saw it, that is when He confounded their language, and guess what happened, total chaos and disorder took place because everyone didn't understand each other. Since then the tower was named Babel because that is when  God confounded the way they communicate. If it will happen again, I can't imagine how life would be.

I therefore conclude that communication is a vital and essential part of our living.
